Training Check-Off List:

Please note that the person to-be-certified needs have a completed Laser Cutter Certification on file and is not allowed to have this list during certification. After successfully demonstrating knowledge in these areas, a member will be certified and can clean the laser cutter optics.

When to Clean

  • Before cutting
  • After cutting (if high usage / dirty materials cut)
  • During cutting (if high usage / noticeable decrease in power)
  • Location of supplies

    • Not contaminating wipes and swabs
    • Proper disposal

    • Mirror (2x)
    • Lens
    • Nozzle

Proper Part Disassembly / Reassembly

  • Mirrors (2x)

  • Lens cover / knobs
  • Nozzle

Cleaning Process

  • Mirror - only lens paper / lens cleaner
  • Lens - swab and/or lens paper / lens cleaner
  • Nozzle - paper towel / Simple Green
  • Housing - paper towel / Simple Green
